Iris hypertrophy
This closeup micropscopy photograph shows hypertrophy of the iris sphincter muscle at the pupil margin. The muscle/inner pigment layer has bunched up and rotated forward through the pupil.

    How does one differentiate this from iris flocculi, which are associated with thoracic, aortic aneurysms and dissections? Please see photo and discussion on this page:
