My name is David Scott and one week ago I had an eye injury playing tennis. I was attempting to return a canon of a serve and the ball skewed off my racket and beaned me right in the left eye actually not even touching any orbital bones. The immediate reaction was very intense pain and I was literally on my knees. I got a pack of ice from the high school trainer on site and applyed the ice for about an hour. My eye continued to hurt and the pain has subsided since. I saw an opthamologist the next day and he did not see any internal/ecternal bleeding and said the retina appears smollen. The problem I have now is my eye is still somewhat blurry ( close object appear larger and closer up than reality and my pupil will not constrict back to the way it should like my right eye ). What is your take on this?? Do you think fluid may have leaked in my eye??? Do you have a time frame hopw long this may take to heal??

I got hit in the eye by a small object that shot out of the lawn mower. I had stitches next to my iris and a blood glotover the eye, Subsiquently I had my eye cleaned out and the lens taken out two weeks later. Its been almost three months now with out a lens because I have a swelling around the optic nerve that the doctor is waiting to heal before they put a lens in my eye.

Do you recomend any eye exercises to help healing or do I just wait and hope that the swelling goes down?

    Thank you Bran Collingwood

  5. I got hit by a ball in the eye. i have to do vitrectomy and i had to remove the lens after 2 weeks. But i noticed that the iris is not responding to lights. the iris is in one position, neither it constricts nor dilates!.
My question is can i live with it all my life if place an IOL? Will it affect my vision if the iris doesn’t respond to lights?
    thanks
