This is a common beta-blocker eye drop used for treating glaucoma. This drop is usually dosed twice a day.  Timolol is an older drop that has been around for a long time, so it is readily available as an inexpensive generic. Punctal occlusion is sometimes recommended to minimize any systemic side effects of timolol (decreased blood pressure and breathing issues in asthmatics).
