This photo shows pseudoexfoliation of the lens. Here you can see a ring of white granular material on top of the lens. This stuff is made of a basement membrane-like material that coats the lens, zonules, and other areas throughout the body. This is important to discover as PXF complicates cataract surgery secondary to zonular instability.
