Where to do the extraocular muscles originate?
The extraocular muscles mostly originate at the annulus of Zinn, at the back of the eye socket. This is a fibrous ring that surrounds the optic nerve. The only muscle that doesn’t originate at this point is the inferior oblique which originates at the orbital floor.
fascinating!
figures are just superb
thanks
simply no need to attend classes.GREAT JOB SIR.
Thanks alot sir
We were always taught L6(SO4)3 to remember the nerves that innervate the ocular muscles
to remember the innervated nerves its better to remember as
LR6(SO4)O3
Lateral rectus -6th nerve
Superior oblique – 4th nerve
Others – 3rd nerve
this is to remember all EOMs including levator pelperbre superiors.
