What is the ciliary body and what two functions does it serve?
The ciliary body is a circular band of muscle that is connected and sits immediately behind the iris. It does two things:
1. Controls lens shape by pulling or relaxing on the lens zonules
2. Produces aqueous humor which fills the posterior and anterior chambers and provides nutrition for avascular tissues in the eye such as the cornea.
avascular tissues in the eye as the cornea…. + the lens.

Ciliary Body – my crystalline lens is syspended inside the eye by the zonuler fibers —- what must I do? Any Noutritions through the blood to use?
has this got anything to do with macular degeneration
The doctor informed my that there is possibility the ciliary bodies stop producing the aqueous humor , may be this is the reason for the low pressure in the anterior champers .
Is there any medicine to refresh the ciliary bodies ?
is there any planting( renewal)for these bodies?
what do you advise me to do ?
