  1. As you can see … this website is still being constructed. I’ve got all the terms up and running, however there are still a couple of additions I’ll be adding over the next two months:

    1. Downloadable PDF of the Book
    2. Print Version

If you’d like to be updated on when these things come out, sign up to my mailing list here. Thanks so much!

What is the name of the eye problem where the cornea keeps making new layers as it does in utero, so it has many layers like an onion, throughout life. My son has this and I would like more info about it but don’t know the medical term.

  3. You are probably referring to EBMD (epithelial basement membrane dystrophy) which is also commonly called map-dot-fingerprint dystrophy. Run a google or youtube search and there is a lot of information available.

It is fairly common, but I didn’t include it in the first edition of this book as it rarely causes symptoms or problems. It is usually detected during a routine exam and offhandedly mentioned to patients. It rarely causes any vision problems but it does increase the tendency to having corneal abrasions.

  4. Always great from Dr. Root. Meanwhile, still waiting for the video on how to simply use the Binocular Indirect Ophthalmoscope from your own perspective sir. However, if this already exist, can someone pls send me the link? Pls respond Dr. Root as I love all your lectures as they have made me a better student. Pls dont disappoint me sir. Thanks in anticipation. Regards, Ozone.

We would like to know if you have a discounted price if we buy several or if it is still the regular price for each book. Keep up the amazing job you are doing.

The best eye doctor in the Universe, well excepting that guy in Mars.

The Book makes everyone an eye doctor immediately but all they can actually do is clean and reinstall their contacts.

Definitely, the best book on planet Earth for expalining all the stuff your eye doctor refuses to explain with you except immediate surgery.

  24. Wonderful website! I’m a long time listener, first time caller and have been learning from your master teaching for years.

I came to look up “Synchia” in the dictionary but did not see a listing, just wondering how common this is to see in practice and if it only occurs as a complication of Traumatic Hyphema? Would it generally be an indication for admission?

    Thanks again!
