Cataract Surgery Handbook

Cataract surgery is our most common procedure. It’s also the most common adult surgery performed in the world. However, the prospect of eye surgery is scary for most people and our patients have many questions.

This is a book I wrote that we give to our own patients that explains everything – from implant options to potential complications.

Medical students will find this information useful before attending their first cataract surgery. More advanced doctors may find the layout and discussion useful as a model for their own patient-education resources.

My patients certainly find this useful. We give out thousands of copies of this little book and it is well received.
