I commonly prescribe Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo (or Aveeno) to facilitate lid scrubs. Even though these shampoos are “mild,” frequent use around the eyes can cause skin irritation. Therefore, I don’t recommend lid scrubs more than once a day.
