    thats why facial nerve palsy patient cant close their eyes and occulomotor palsy cant open their their eyes……

  2. is it like after botox some people an open eyelid are there any treatment for that

  3. Didi, the possibilities here are:

    1. Eyelid Fasciculations – harmless twitching
    2. Blepharospasm – usually both eyes, may need botox, harmless
    3. Hemifacial Spasm – involves half of face, potentially dangerous.

    I don’t know why sugar levels are being checked, unless there is some kind of nerve palsy going on as well. These are all questions best asked of the eye doctor who has seen your husband.

  4. Ps.. I got a second opinion and was told my muscle may need to be tightened. As I mentioned, both eyes opened fine before surgery; even with the hooding, it’s obvious in pics.

    The muscle close eyelid is orbicularis oculi and is suplied by facial or nerv 7
    And the muscles open the eyelid is lavetor palpabrae superior muscles and is supplied by nerve 3 oculomotor
